We support all the major cinema PoS systems, and when we occasionally find a new one, we have integrated with that one too!
Will customers only be able to hear my movietimes and cinema information?
Yes. When your customers call your movieline number, they will only ever receive your movietimes and the cinema information that you have provided for them. They will never hear someone else’s showtimes.
Is it possible to have more than one cinema on a single number?
Yes. It is possible to have either just one cinema, or an entire circuit on a single phone number. Customers will still never receive a busy signal. It is even possible to have the same cinema on more than one number - some of our customers have done this where they have acquired multiple cinemas near to each other, each with its own movieline number - they list both/all cinemas on all numbers!
Do you support multiple languages?
Yes. Some of our customers have more than one language available on each number. This can help cinemas where there is a strong customer base that does not have English as their first language, or in areas where there is more than one language commonly spoken. We currently offer English, Spanish and French.
Can I provide movie synopses to my customers?
Yes. We record a movie synopsis for each major Hollywood release, normally just 1-2 sentences to help bring customers back, or attract new customers, to watch a film they had not even heard of before they called!
Why do I need a moveline?
Usage varies from 100 calls a month, up to several thousand. The demographic of the customer base is a factor, as well as strength of the phone signal. It can also be a useful service for the visually imparied community, an active demonstration of inclusivity made by the cinema. Whoever is calling, if they can’t get reliable showtime information, the line is busy or not answered, they might well go bowling or watch a movie at home instead, so the monthly cost of a movie line can be quickly recovered with an increase foot traffic and increased concession sales.
What if I need to add a custom recording?
Our customer service team can help with changes to welcome messages, or occasional seasonal and special offer messages. Send an email to our support team with the text that you need, and they are able to arrange for this recording for you.
It is also possible to record custom messages from within the customer portal, as well as to upload custom sound recordings.
What if my cinema is closed due to bad weather or other emergency?
There are a variety of different messages to cover storms, flooding, bad weather and the pandemic so that you can always update your customers and let them know whether or not your cinema is open.
Can I automatically promote my latest movies?
Yes. There are settings to automatically announce the movies that open this Friday based on the showtimes that are received from the PoS.
What happens if I change my showtimes?
Fone and Go® has been reliably reading in showtimes for over a decade. If you update your showtimes, then Fone and Go updates your recording.
